The Round of 16 on July 4 falls on a US national holiday. This is one of the best days of the entire tournament for American fans. Games during the day while the barbecues are running. FOX plans to make this a major broadcast event.

The bracket is pre-set. A Group A winner faces a specific third-place finisher. A Group B winner faces another designated opponent. Each match slot is assigned before the tournament starts. Only the team names change as results come in.
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
June 11 is still a few months away. The full schedule with all team names in place will be confirmed in late March 2026 once the UEFA and Intercontinental playoffs are complete. Six spots remain open until then. Everything else is confirmed and ready to go.
